By accessing or using Deen Assist, an AI-powered application developed by Musufa Sdn Bhd (hereinafter referred to as "Musufa," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). These Terms govern your use of Deen Assist and are designed to comply with Malaysian laws, including but not limited to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, Computer Crimes Act 1997, Islamic Financial Services Act 2013, Shariah laws, Education Act 1996, and other relevant regulations, as well as Islamic principles derived from authentic scholarly sources.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately cease using Deen Assist. Musufa reserves the right to update these Terms at any time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
1. Purpose and Scope of Deen Assist
1.1 Purpose: Deen Assist is an AI-powered application designed to provide general guidance on Islamic questions related to everyday life, including but not limited to marital life, family matters, education, and finance. It draws on a knowledge base curated from authentic scholarly sources, including the Malaysian government’s official fatwa database, recognized fatwas, FAQs, books, and websites deemed reliable by Musufa.
1.2 Intended Use: Deen Assist is intended for informational and educational purposes only, offering non-binding guidance based on general Islamic principles. It is not a substitute for professional scholarly consultation, academic research, or official fatwas issued by qualified Islamic authorities.
1.3 Non-Madhab Specific: Answers provided by Deen Assist are based on general Islamic principles and may not align with specific madhabs (schools of thought). Users seeking madhab-specific guidance should consult qualified scholars of their chosen madhab.
2. AI-Generated Content and Limitations
2.1 Source of Content: All responses provided by Deen Assist are generated by AI based on a curated knowledge base of authentic Islamic sources selected by Musufa. These sources include the Malaysian government’s official fatwa database, recognized scholarly fatwas, books, and websites. Musufa does not independently verify or employ scholars to validate these sources.
2.2 Accuracy and Errors: While Musufa strives to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of Deen Assist’s responses, the AI may inadvertently produce errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. Musufa acknowledges the potential for such mistakes and seeks Allah’s forgiveness for any unintentional harm or misguidance caused. Users are strongly encouraged to verify responses with qualified Islamic scholars, particularly for sensitive or life-altering matters.
2.3 No Legal or Religious Binding: Responses provided by Deen Assist are not legally binding under Malaysian law or Shariah law and do not constitute official fatwas or rulings. Users should consult relevant authorities for legally or religiously binding decisions.
2.4 Dua for Forgiveness: Musufa humbly invokes the following dua in recognition of the limitations of AI:

3. User Responsibilities and Accountability
3.1 User Accountability: Users are solely responsible for how they interpret, apply, or act upon the information provided by Deen Assist. Any reliance on Deen Assist’s responses without independent verification is at the user’s own risk. Allah is the ultimate judge of intentions and actions.
3.2 Ethical Use: Users must use Deen Assist ethically and responsibly, in alignment with Islamic values and Malaysian laws. Misuse of the application for frivolous, harmful, disrespectful, or unlawful purposes is strictly prohibited and is the sole responsibility of the user.

6. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification
6.1 No Liability for Actions Taken: Musufa, its employees, owners, directors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of Deen Assist, including but not limited to financial losses, spiritual harm, or legal consequences resulting from reliance on AI-generated responses.
6.2 Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Musufa, its employees, owners, directors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from their use or misuse of Deen Assist, including violations of these Terms or applicable laws.
6.3 Force Majeure: Musufa shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms due to events beyond its reasonable control, including technical failures, natural disasters, or regulatory changes.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Ownership: All content, software, and intellectual property associated with Deen Assist, including its AI algorithms, knowledge base, and user interface, are owned by Musufa or its licensors and are protected by Malaysian copyright and intellectual property laws.
7.2 Prohibited Use: Users may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of Deen Assist’s content or software without prior written consent from Musufa.
8. Termination and Suspension
8.1 Termination by Musufa: Musufa reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to Deen Assist for any user who violates these Terms, misuses the application, or engages in unlawful or unethical conduct.

9. Sadaqah Jariyah and Spiritual Intent
9.1 Intention: Deen Assist is developed with the intention of spreading beneficial knowledge (ilmu yang bermanfaat), which Musufa considers an act of sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity). Musufa seeks Allah’s reward for its efforts while acknowledging that ultimate accountability rests with the user.
9.2 No Guarantee of Reward: While Musufa strives to promote authentic Islamic knowledge, it does not guarantee spiritual reward (sawab) for users or itself, as this is determined solely by Allah.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
10.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, including federal and state laws, as well as Shariah principles where applicable.
10.2 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from the use of Deen Assist shall be resolved through negotiation in good faith. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

12. Miscellaneous
